Il collegamento stradale Egitto-Sudan dovrebbe essere aperto al transito da Gennaio 2013, in base a quanto riportato dalla Sudan News Agency:


Khartoum, Sept 12 (SUNA) - The Wali (governor) of the Northern State, Fathi Khalil announced the inauguration of the road linking Sudan to Egypt in Jan First 2013 in accordance with the recommendations of the Joint Technical Committee between the two countries .
Khali pointed out in press conference organized by the Economic Sector of the Sudan News(SUNA), Wednesday, that the set date of the inauguration of the high way was submitted to the High Committee which will decide on the matter, attributing the postponement of the inauguration date to the technical reasons concerning the Egyptian side and the administrative establishments of the two sides .
The Wali described the road as the vital link between Egypt and Sudan and will contribute to the trade movement between the two countries, curbing all kinds of smuggling as well as halting illegal emigration .
He affirmed the completion of the procedures regarding the opening of the road, referring to the provision of the political will of the two countries in this connection .
Meanwhile, the Director of the Egyptian Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Esam Awad Mutwali has indicated that Sudan has implemented all the provisions concerning the Four Freedoms Agreement, referring that next October will witness new turn in the developments of the relations linking the two countries .
